This is a brand new series from Big Finish and B7. B7 puts out all the Blake’s 7 stuff. This is set in the same universe, I believe, but not connected to B7.
Blake’s 7 is a highly underrated series by Big Finish, just as it was a highly rated TV show back in the 90s. If you have not tried much of Big Finish’s non-Who catalog, a simple series like this might be a good place to start!
I have included with this a series a BONUS! The BBC, back in the 90s, tried to do Dan Dare as a series. It shows its age but is entertaining enough.
Dan Dare is actually a comic character almost as old as Superman. He’s been in books and comics. Now, he’s in audio!
Don’t be put off by the terrible cover photo! This series audio drama in the tradition of Blake’s 7 and Kaldor City: dark and existential.

Episode 1 - Voyage to Venus by Richard Kurti and Bev Doyle

Unable to return to Earth, Dan Dare and the crew of the Anastasia head to the desolate planet Mars, where Dan’s estranged Uncle Ivor is part of a research team working on a top-secret archaeological dig; but when they find the base wrecked and the scientists missing, Dare, Digby and Professor Peabody soon discover that the Red Planet is not nearly as dead as everyone thought and that Ivor’s expedition has woken an army of deadly insect-creatures that threaten to swarm and engulf the Earth… Dare must stop the aliens, but can he really RESORT to genocide in order to save the human race?

When a distress call summons the crew of the Anastasia to the burning wilderness of Mercury, they are reunited with their old ally, Sondar. Thanks for the uploaded.Been wanting this and was just about to buy it. Will still buy it just for the CD but anxious to listen to it right now. I dont think it has anything to do with Blake 7 tho, as Dan Dare was around way before Blake 7 was and I have never once heard any relation between the two.

Hi thanks for this. Brings back memories. Dan Dare is from the british comic Eagle. And Blakes 7 was on telly from late 70s to very early 80s I seem to remember. Both are great but they are not tied together. But a massive ty for the upload and your hard work!
